Fifth Avenue Floral

I just love this stamp set. I've seen so many wonderful cards using this set and I just HAD to have it. So, I got it :-) I CASED (copy and share everything) this card from http://www.stellarstamps.com/stampin_and_scrappin_up/2010/04/card-made-using-stampin-ups-fifth-avenue-floral-which-is-on-sale-now.html It is so elegant. I changed the colors up a bit but the sketch layout is the same. I used Shimmer White cardstock - you really can't see the shimmer in the photo but it is real nice. I thought the flower could use some glitter as well.
Have a great night!

I'm Baaaack . . .

I hope you missed me :-) I hate that its been so long since I last blogged but . . . life gets hectic sometimes. I have been crafting a little bit but it seems that I am always making cards at the last minute and then I forget to photograph them and . . . you know . . .
I made a card similar to this for a Stampin Up swap I was in. It was my very first swap (outside of my upline's meetings) with people I didn't know. It was very nervewracking - I wanted to do my best because the people receiving the swaps are all Stampin UP demonstrators - so I wanted to impress. I think I did ok, what do you think??

Swap Card

Here is a card I made for our team meeting this month. Selene http://stampinfunwithselene.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-inspiring-team.html was nice enough to take a picture of everyone's cards and she sent mine to me to put on my blog. You should check out everyone's cards. They are fabulous!

Cute as a bug

Another Saturday Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. I liked this one. I am feeling "springy" today and went with some nice spring colors. I used the Love Bug stamp set together with the the Tea Party DSP. I even "pimped" out the bug's ride by adding some glitter to it - ha ha. Have a great day today!!

Happy Moments

So, I needed a birthday card in a pinch. I used the stack of presents from the Happy Moments stamp set. Wouldn't it be nice to get a stack of presents??

So, I love looking at all of the different blogs that are out there. It is so nice to get inspiration from other people. I look at Andrea Walford's blog every day. She has such great ideas and is very talented. When I saw this card, I thought it was a great masculine card and I needed a get well card for a guy. http://andreawalford.com/?p=4812

What do you think?

Same sketch different paper

So, at my scrapbook class with my upline Selene Kempton, we made this beautiful card. I just loved the colors she choose and the butterfuly cut out . . . well . . . :-) http://stampinfunwithselene.blogspot.com/2010/03/true-friend.html

I had to make a get well card and I thought I would use Selene's creation but with different paper. I love using Designer Series Paper as a focal point on the card. I was going to add some flowers (where the butterfly is) but I thought it would clash with the DSP I used. So my creation is on the right.

Thanks for the inspiration Selene!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Another Stamping 411 Challenge Sketch. Love this one with all of the layers. http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/03/saturday-sketch-challenge-142.html

So, I've never tried green beer but it looks good (*sort of*) Who knows, maybe this will be the year I actually try it :-) I used my Vintage Vogue jumbo wheel with versamark on the green cardstock, used lots of dimensionals to stack my layers and added crystal effects on the beer mug and glitter to the foam.

Here's to you - may we all try green beer this year!!

A card for my Mom

I hope my mom doesn't look at my blog (because this card is in the mail to her). Just a little surprise in her mailbox :-)

I got this layout from the Stampin Up Stampin Connection. It is like a facebook but for Stampin Up Demonstrators. People post their samples and then if you like them you can CASE it (copy . . and. . share. . everything) Great idea, huh??

P.S. I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was to give credit to as there are a ton of samples to go through. But whoever it was, I loved it!!

Friends

I just love this new stamp set called Vintage Vogue from Stampin Up. It is so elegant and has some wonderful sentiments.

Very vintage looking, don't you think??

Easy card

The main focal point of this card is the Designer Series Paper. I just added some ribbon, a sentiment and cut out some flowers which I stamped with a technique called "rock and roll". Very easy to make and beautiful too!

Life Happens . . . Love Helps

This is my new favorite saying!! This is from the stamp set Vintage Vogue. It rings so true in my everyday life. This poor little boy has lost his balloon (life happens), but with the love of his parents (love helps), he will get through loosing his balloon.

This is another sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 blog http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/03/saturday-sketch-challenge-141.html

You should really check it out. The operators there are so talented as well as all of the other participants.

I hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

It was my husband's birthday a couple of weeks ago and I made him this card. When I saw the sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 website, I thought it was a fit - I just flipped it. I originally was going to have Tess holding a cake but my husband does not like cake - I KNOW!! What person does not like cake!! But, he does love beer so this was the next best thing. I added some crystal effects to the mug and some glitter to the foam. I know the red hair really does not coordinate with the card but, I have red hair, so it had to stay :-) Hope you enjoy!

Sleepover

So, I just had a sleepover with my two nieces, Reese and Paige, ages 8 and 5. We had a fun time. We played alot of games, watched a movie and did some craft activites. They both are really good at crafting (they must take after me *wink* *wink*). I asked if they wanted to make a card and they were both very excited. They chose their own colors, picked the stamp that they wanted and went to town. Here is what they created. I hope they had as much fun as I did :-)

Too early for Easter???

Well, Valentine's Day is officially not over yet, but it's not too early for Easter, right? I'm still in chocolate mode, so this stamp set fits perfectlly. I'm doing the Stamping 411 sketch this week http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/02/saturday-sketch-challenge-ssc138.html and I just got some new goodies from Stampin Up. I used some dsp from the Sweet Pea pack and Chocolate Bunny stamp. I stamped the bunny in craft just to give him the "look" of chocolate and who could forget the satin chocolate ribbon. Growing up, I always ate the ears first off of my chocolate bunnies, you??

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I know I did. :-) Here are some treats that I made for my son's class at school. They are slider boxes for the conversation hearts that are everywhere on the internet. I had to make 16 of them so I was busy. And, of course, I waited until the last minute . . . oh well . . . all that matters is that I finished them, right??

A card for my Husband!

So I love to blog surf and when I came upon this card at Tiffany Bauer's blog, http://mycraftyworld.blogspot.com/2010/01/mature-kind-of-card.html I just HAD to make it for my husband. I dont know if I will give it to him for Valentine's day or his birthday. Hmmm. . . .

Another Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!! Here is my card that I made for this week's Stamping 411 challenge. http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/01/saturday-sketch-challenge-136.html

I love Kraft and Chocolate Chip together. This is the first time I used the Medallion stamp set since I got it. I just love all the possibilities with that stamp. Hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday

So, my niece is turning 8 on Sunday. . . My how time flies. For her party invitations, she picked skull and crossbones (with pink) of course. I think she is growing up. So, when it came time to do her birthday card, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I am getting to like the distressed look (usually everything has to be neat and clean) but I thought I would do a little distressing on this card. I really like how it turned out. I am sure she will like it too. . .

Valentine's Day Treats

My son has a fabulous pediatrician. Her office staff is wonderful as well. I wanted to show my appreciation so I thought with Valentine's Day coming up, it might be nice to surprise them with some chocolate treats - with pretty packaging, of course :-)

The more the merrier

So, I was very excited to win the blog candy from the Stamping 411 website last week. I have been wanting that stamp set for a long time. When I saw this weeks sketch, I got very excited because I immediately knew what I was going to do. I had to flip the sketch but I think it works. I just love Rose Red and Black together. It really makes a statement. I colored Whisper White Organza ribbon with the Rose Red marker and I added crystal effects to the hearts. Hope you enjoy!

More color, please . . .

Jeepers, I was just looking through my blog, what little of it there is, and thought - my . . . I must get some more color into it. It seems that I just have "boy" cards with blues, tans, etc. So, here are some other cards I made with "girl" colors!!

Love you Much

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I wanted to make a special valentine for my hubby - one that was cute, but manly. I think I did it, what do you think??
I used some new stamp sets from Stampin Up, Fox and Friends and Well Scripted. I just love both of these sets - the fox is so darn cute and I just love the scripting in the sentiment.

Build a Bear

My son is having his birthday party at a Build A Bear store so I thought what better way to send an invitation than to use the Beary Best Friends stamp set from Stampin Up and complete a sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 blog as well. http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/01/saturday-sketch-challenge-ssc134.html

Yay for me!!! Hope you enjoy!
