Swap Card

Here is a card I made for our team meeting this month. Selene http://stampinfunwithselene.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-inspiring-team.html was nice enough to take a picture of everyone's cards and she sent mine to me to put on my blog. You should check out everyone's cards. They are fabulous!

Cute as a bug

Another Saturday Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. I liked this one. I am feeling "springy" today and went with some nice spring colors. I used the Love Bug stamp set together with the the Tea Party DSP. I even "pimped" out the bug's ride by adding some glitter to it - ha ha. Have a great day today!!

Happy Moments

So, I needed a birthday card in a pinch. I used the stack of presents from the Happy Moments stamp set. Wouldn't it be nice to get a stack of presents??

So, I love looking at all of the different blogs that are out there. It is so nice to get inspiration from other people. I look at Andrea Walford's blog every day. She has such great ideas and is very talented. When I saw this card, I thought it was a great masculine card and I needed a get well card for a guy. http://andreawalford.com/?p=4812

What do you think?

Same sketch different paper

So, at my scrapbook class with my upline Selene Kempton, we made this beautiful card. I just loved the colors she choose and the butterfuly cut out . . . well . . . :-) http://stampinfunwithselene.blogspot.com/2010/03/true-friend.html

I had to make a get well card and I thought I would use Selene's creation but with different paper. I love using Designer Series Paper as a focal point on the card. I was going to add some flowers (where the butterfly is) but I thought it would clash with the DSP I used. So my creation is on the right.

Thanks for the inspiration Selene!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Another Stamping 411 Challenge Sketch. Love this one with all of the layers. http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/03/saturday-sketch-challenge-142.html

So, I've never tried green beer but it looks good (*sort of*) Who knows, maybe this will be the year I actually try it :-) I used my Vintage Vogue jumbo wheel with versamark on the green cardstock, used lots of dimensionals to stack my layers and added crystal effects on the beer mug and glitter to the foam.

Here's to you - may we all try green beer this year!!

A card for my Mom

I hope my mom doesn't look at my blog (because this card is in the mail to her). Just a little surprise in her mailbox :-)

I got this layout from the Stampin Up Stampin Connection. It is like a facebook but for Stampin Up Demonstrators. People post their samples and then if you like them you can CASE it (copy . . and. . share. . everything) Great idea, huh??

P.S. I'm sorry, I don't remember who it was to give credit to as there are a ton of samples to go through. But whoever it was, I loved it!!

Friends

I just love this new stamp set called Vintage Vogue from Stampin Up. It is so elegant and has some wonderful sentiments.

Very vintage looking, don't you think??

Easy card

The main focal point of this card is the Designer Series Paper. I just added some ribbon, a sentiment and cut out some flowers which I stamped with a technique called "rock and roll". Very easy to make and beautiful too!

Life Happens . . . Love Helps

This is my new favorite saying!! This is from the stamp set Vintage Vogue. It rings so true in my everyday life. This poor little boy has lost his balloon (life happens), but with the love of his parents (love helps), he will get through loosing his balloon.

This is another sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 blog http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2010/03/saturday-sketch-challenge-141.html

You should really check it out. The operators there are so talented as well as all of the other participants.

I hope you enjoy!

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

It was my husband's birthday a couple of weeks ago and I made him this card. When I saw the sketch challenge from the Stamping 411 website, I thought it was a fit - I just flipped it. I originally was going to have Tess holding a cake but my husband does not like cake - I KNOW!! What person does not like cake!! But, he does love beer so this was the next best thing. I added some crystal effects to the mug and some glitter to the foam. I know the red hair really does not coordinate with the card but, I have red hair, so it had to stay :-) Hope you enjoy!
